• Yêu cầu:

Phần thi này gồm 5 câu hỏi được đánh số từ 1 đến 5. Mỗi câu hỏi sẽ bao gồm 1 bức tranh và 2 từ hoặc cụm từ. Từ các cụm từ và bức tranh cho trước, việc của bạn là đặt câu với các dữ liệu cho trước. • Thời gian thi:

Tổng số thời gian để bạn có thể hoàn thành cả 5 câu hỏi này là 8 phút. Trong thời gian làm bài, bạn có thể tùy chọn thứ tự làm bài mà không cần bắt buộc từ 1 đến 5. Số điểm tối đa ở mỗi câu hỏi là 3 điểm, thấp nhất là 0 điểm.

2. Respond to a written request

• Yêu cầu:

Thí sinh sẽ được cấp một lá thư email, sau khi đọc kỹ bức thư đó, bạn sẽ phải viết một email để trả lời cho tin nhắn này. Các dạng email thường gặp bao gồm câu hỏi, yêu cầu, đề nghị, lời góp ý hoặc cũng có thể là giải thích một vấn đề nào đó với chủ đề đa dạng.

• Thời gian thi:

3. TOEIC Writing Section: Opinion essay

• Yêu cầu:

Thí sinh sẽ viết một bài luận trình bày các quan điểm cá nhân của mình về một vấn đề cho sẵn. Đặc biệt, người chấm sẽ không cố để xác nhận rằng những quan điểm này là đúng hay sai mà tập trung vào phần ngữ pháp, trình bày, nội dung của bài viết.

Some companies block their employees from using social media networks and websites such as Facebook. Do you think managers should trust employees to use time wisely, or do you think it is smart of companies to block access to some sites? Provide reasons and examples to support your opinion.

When time is wasted online it is the company that pays for the loss. Employees on salary still get paid no matter how productive they are. Those who waste time may not get raises or bonuses, but they still get a paycheque. It is only the employer that loses out when time is wasted online. Employers should not feel guilty about restricting Internet access. If surfing the Internet and sending out Tweets is not part of one's job description, these activities take away from true duties.

Some employees have lost their jobs because they wrote something online against their own company. It is too easy to press send, post, or publish these days. Preventing employees from using certain websites actually protects the employees as well.

There are many honest workers who can be trusted at work. They only check Facebook or Twitter during their break time or lunch, and they don't post any information that could damage the company's (or their own) reputation. Unfortunately, there are always a handful of workers who cannot be trusted. By eliminating the temptation, employers can prevent any problems related to Internet abuse in the workplace.”

“These days, the amount of violence in the media is growing. While some people argue that this trend will undoubtedly lead humans to a dangerous future, others claim that it has no damaging effect on society. I believe that in most cases media violence doesn't affect people's behavior.

Firstly, I think that people act from their motives, regardless of what they see on the television. That is to say, if someone intends to do harm to somebody, that is not because of watching TV or playing computer games, but due to that person's character and education. Although it is generally considered that violent media accustomed viewers to cruelty, I doubt this opinion. In my view, reasonable and intelligent people treat others humanely irrespective of what they see or hear in fictional stories.

Moreover, video games and television may even reduce social violence by providing a safe outlet for aggressiveness. In other words, truculent people may fight in virtual reality instead of evincering their combative spirit in the real world. This may not only help those people, but also reduce the level of social violence in the long-term perspective.

Finally, despite many claims and assumptions about negative effects of television and computer games I have never seen any proven connection between violent media and illegal activities in social life.

Taking everything into consideration, I would say that violence in contemporary media has no substantial influence on people's behavior. Television and computers are not the main factors that shape personal character, and they can even be useful in reducing the level of violence”

Then, on the day of the interview, it is crucial that candidates put a lot of thought and effort into their appearance. The interviewer's first impression of a candidate is largely based on appearance. Therefore, candidates need to look as neat, tidy, and professional at the interview as possible.

Similarly, it is important for candidates to make sure they arrive on time for the interview. The worst thing they can do at a job interview is to arrive late. It looks extremely unprofessional. Moreover, they will probably be rushing to get there, meaning they will be stressed and exhausted before the interview even begins. Instead, candidates should aim to get there well before time so that they can enter the interview room in a comfortable, confident and relaxed mood.

In summary, it is very important for candidates to make personal contact with the company beforehand, and to dress professionally, and be punctual on the day of the interview itself. This way, they will feel more comfortable and have a much better chance of leaving a positive impression with the interviewer.”
